A Speaker for all Generations! Then, Now & Imagine

Introducing Meagan Johnson

ZAP THE GAP - Solving the Multi-Generational Puzzle

Then: While working in sales for companies like Quaker Oats, Kraft Foods and Xerox, Meagan Johnson became discouraged to hear all the negative comments about Generation X (the 50 million people born between 1965 and 1980). Being a Generation Xer herself, she believed these comments to be unfounded and the blinders that her own managers had frustrated her. "There was this perception of only one way to get ahead and be successful at work. My managers seemed to be unable to look at a different way of training and career management that was relevant to younger employees.” This spurred Meagan to seek information from small to large corporations in order to find successful ways to get the best productivity from “the younger generation,” thus giving birth to ZAP THE GAP - Solving the Multi-Generational Puzzle.

Now: Meagan Johnson entertains and educates audiences from all over the globe. Her intriguing analyses are expressed in print in a variety of articles, a chapter in the book Success is a Team Effort, interviews for many publications and presentations to unusual audiences. And they have impact. In 2000, as the only female speaker at the Harley Davidson University conference in New Orleans Louisiana, a Harley Dealer told her "You have changed the way I treat and train my younger employees."

Imagine: Continuing her analyses of younger generations, imagine how Meagan Johnson can advance your insights for leadership with multiple generations, be it working with your colleagues or understanding your children! "Every generation gets a negative label when it enters the workforce. For example Baby Boomers were called trouble-making hippies when they first went to work and Gen Xers were called lazy. Once we take time to understand the motivations and mind-set of younger people, working with them, selling to them and managing them becomes a more successful effort," says Meagan Johnson.
